This was our last set of concept sketches for the Ojo al pez exhibition before we settled. The final design underwent several modifications, but its core remains the same. There are large projections, some fish on the wall, but there was text on the floor and some objects on plinths.
Another of the preliminary ideas for the Ojo al pez exhibition. This room was inspired by amusement park houses of terror. The room would be full of corridors that would form a route through images and sounds designed to elicit disgust. It would start by showing the process of capturing the fish, then move on to the butchering, then to the consumption.
This was one of the ideas for the Ojo al pez exhibition. The room would resemble a hospital, with cold lighting and white floor tiles. In it, there would be these huge metal and glass tubes full of liquid, which we called 'test tubes', containing dead fish caught in nets, speared dolphins, and such. Walls would be adorned with X-rays of different kinds of sea creatures. Facts and figures would be displayed right on the tubes. This concept was highly aesthetic, seeking to mix the contradictory sensations of aseptic and revolting.

It is technology what sets the monkey called 'human' apart from other animals. In our cities, we are surrounded by it, and we often wield it while being completely oblivious to the damage that we are causing to the world, by being so powerful yet so blind and egocentric (anthropocentric).
This is a mockup of the original 1.5 m tall work, in which the different pixelled pieces were raised, and the monkey's body and limbs were also lifted. The original also had some other additions that I did not want to keep for this picture. Created as my final exam for Sebastián Skoknic and Bryan Phillips' workshop.

The design for a fictitious newspaper aimed at children, created in Jennifer King's class. The content was extracted from an actual 'for grownups' newspaper, since this one was supposed to have the same kind of 'serious' content, but adapted for kids. Its most notorious feature is variable text orientation, which makes the strict grid more dynamic and playful. Each section has a different palette, and full color pictures are used sparingly to direct focus.
